an arts destination as it is for shimmering sands, fine restaurants and
swaying palms. The area is truly the cultural center of southwest
Florida. With over 35 art organizations and more than 100 galleries,
Naples has some of the finest cultural offerings available anywhere.
Introducing young people to the arts is a mission taken
seriously by the community's cultural institutions. Youth education
programs and scholarships are available to children eager for the center

THE PHILHARMONIC
CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Established in 1989, the Philharmonic
Center for the Arts has been the region's most ambitious cultural undertaking. When
the Naples Philharmonic isn't performing, the Phil keeps music playing
with guest appearances by some of the most celebrated orchestras and
solo artists in the world. The Phil's ambitious programming brings
touring theatre, opera and dance companies here from all over the world. The
highly regarded Miami City Ballet spends part of each winter season here,
performing with the full Philharmonic Orchestra. Their "Nutcracker" is
an annual holiday tradition. The Phil has fulfilled a dream with
the addition of the Naples Museum of Art at the center. Adding
to an impressive permanent collection, the museum curates original shows
and attracts prestigious traveling exhibitions.
VON LIEBIG
CENTER
The Von Liebig Center is home
to the Naples Art Association, which celebrated its 50th anniversary
in 2004. Von Liebig Center offers traveling shows and local exhibits,
always free of charge. Working artists consistently rank the association's
annual Naples National Art Festival as one of the country's best. Main
Street 5th Avenue South is blocked off and artists gather from around
the USA to display their works. This is something not to be missed.

Home to the Naples Players and
the troops, presents a full season of crowd-pleasing plays and musicals,
including summer performances.
